About the organisation

ActionAid Association is a national organisation and an affiliate of ActionAid International federation. ActionAid Association has been working in India since 1972 to end poverty and injustice.

We currently operate out of 12 Regional Offices spread across 24 States and 1 Union Territory.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Effective contract management from proposal preparation stage up to entering into funding agreement.  Ensuring timely and quality reporting as per donor requirement.
  • Liaise with regions and other units within ActionAid to prepare project proposals, reports and other donor requirements.
  • Coordinating with the ActionAid regional offices and other units to understand their funding needs and preparing fundraising plans that suit their needs.
  • Donor scoping for multi-lateral and bilateral donors, Trusts and Foundations and corporate CSR.
  • Tracking policy changes and shifting priorities among institutional agencies including trusts and foundations and corporate CSR.
  • Coordinate with ActionAid’s fund raising units to identify new partnership opportunities and strengthening existing partnerships.
  • Updating and maintaining the contract management database.
  • Any other task as may be assigned by the Line Manager

Skills and Competencies

  • Post Graduate degree preferably in Social Work/Social Sciences/Rural Development/ Management or its equivalent.
  • Over 3 years of relevant experience in fund raising from institutional / corporate donors.
  • Freshers with exceptional skills will also be considered.
  • Good command over English language for the purpose of project proposal development 
  • Have excellent interpersonal and liaising skills.
  • Have excellent reporting skills for timely, effective and high quality reporting as per requirements.
  • Ability to work under strict timelines and therefore effective time management skill is a must. 
  • Excellent skills in all applications of MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel is essential.
  • Gender sensitivity, and strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of the poor and disadvantaged groups. 

Salary & Benefits

Approx - INR 5.5  Lakhs CTO (Cost to Organisation) per annum - this includes contributions towards PF and gratuity .

 It also includes, other benefits-Group Medical Insurance with coverage of Staff & Dependents; Personal Accident Insurance of staff and Gratuity is payable as per the law and norms of the organisation.
